We are very pleased to offer a free download of “We All Share The Light,” an uplifting song co-written by Nell Levin and Sharon Angell. The vocal is by powerhouse singer Jonell Mosser. This song makes you believe that a better world is possible, a message that is especially relevant today. Please listen and check out the lyrics.
Nell’s song “Don’t Blow Up The Mountain” has 12,000 hits on YouTube. If you’ve never seen the destructive force of a mountain being blown up, check out Shelby Bottom String Band’s video. This video was featured on an international livestream from Glasgow, Scotland coinciding with the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference. It was the only US group featured on the livestream.
Three of Nell’s songs (“East Nashville Rag”, “Don’t Blow Up The Mountain” and “He Don’t Fool Around”) were featured on Shelby Bottom String Band’s East Nashville Rag album. Two of Michael songs were also featured on this album (“Fat and Bald” and “You Got Me Lovin’ You”.) Take a look at our fun East Nashville Rag video.
The Tennessean described Nell’s song and video about gentrification, “Displacement Blues,” as “Nashville’s latest social justice anthem.” It features singer/songwriter Darrin Bradbury in the lead cameo role. It received Metro Nashville Arts THRIVE funding and a grant from the Puffin Foundation.
Nell’s song/video, “Where Are The Women: The Tomato-Gate Song,” a satirical commentary of the dearth of female singers on country radio, stars country artists Cheryl Desere’e and Rachael Hester.
The East Nashville Rag CD is out of print but can be downloaded on Bandcamp.
